In September 2005 Malcolm was awarded Champion Blacksmith of England, this was featured in The English Garden magazine. The page was cut out and kept by a gentleman building a luxury mansion in Essex as he felt he had found the blacksmith who would be able to design and build the ironwork he dreamed of. The staircases in this house are featured in the Interiors section of our web site. Using the idea in Malcolm's Championship gate design, this is one of three gates in a fifty five metre length of railing encircling a large koi lake.
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's home at Windlesham Manor is now a private nursing home. Malcolm was asked to create a gazebo which provided shading from bright sunlight.
The leafwork from the gazebo was echoed in the gates for Windlesham Manor, also balustrading around the gardens.

An arrangement of garden arches, with 'ladders' behind to support climbing plants, this is the same garden in Hungerford that the Kokopelli gates were built for. When we visited a few months later with further items, including a fire basket, the lady told us how they glowed so wonderfully golden in the evening sunlight.
Art nouveau style railings for garden terrace

The private garden within the Historic Dockyard refects the customers love of the Chinese Chippendale style, as they asked Malcolm to build an arbour and screens to further enhance their garden.
